Default White Plains Show.

Posted By: Phil Garry

Attended the White Plains show yesterday. Not much in rare vintage cards but did come across one dealer (I don't know his name or any other information about him) with a "unique" 1909 Shoeless Joe Jackson postcard graded "Authentic" by SGC and asking a huge price (I believe around $7,500) and the same dealer had an early real photo postcard (not authenticated) of Babe Ruth which he stated was circa 1916 (I don't know how he pinned down the year) for just under $4,000. Needless to say, these two were too rich for my blood but it was nice to see something at White Plains that I would seriously consider buying if the price was a little bit more in my range.
