Its possible the maker just used unsold pennant stock to print a new design to process a new request. The NFL and baseball season would have been over in January when the Orange Bowl was being played and the manufacturer could have been printing NHL pennants that time of year. A search of that year shows the Black Hawks finished dead last that year and maybe attendance was poor as a result.We'll probably never know . Maybe someone else can chime in about these oddities.
