I have done very well sending in PSA slabbed cards to SGC for crossover. My best example was a PSA 4 T206 Cobb Bat On Shoulder with weak corners but otherwise clean than SGC put in an SGC 60 holder. my experience is the same and they're the only company i would do this with (leaving card in other tpg's holder for review)
