I hate to be the lone dissenter but one of my fondest memories as a kid collecting cards involves Mr. Mint.

He used to set up at a yearly card show that took place at a hotel in Columbia, MD. One year I actually got the nerve to ask him about all the old cards he had under glass. He invited me behind the table, told me all about T206's, Old Judges, how they were packaged, which cards were worth what. He told me about how condition affects the price and when I left he gave me a few beat up T206's "to get me started".
