I agree with you about slabbing. I don't care for it, and wouldn't spend my own money to do it. I bought the picture this way. I'm tempted to crack it out, but I do kinda like the way this one looks in it.
Mark, I'm not judging anyone - that one actually looks good in the slab. If it's a small photo, and/or you have no intention of hanging it on the wall, it might work out well in a slab - also, you can sit it on one of those small stand-up easel-type things for a nice display.

I also agree with the SGC black background slab for providing contrast, and also uniformity for display of your favorite pieces that are not from the same set. Though generally against slabbing, I do understand the benefits and I sometimes take advantage of them.
