Hi Jason,

Very interesting image.
The striped socks and the hat the uniformed player is wearing were mostly used in the 1870's as you correctly said.
Carte mount style + imprint style are about 1872 or after.
Don't have a clue on the crest under the jacket... again, very interesting.
I'll give it a try later using some images from my archives and see what I can find.
