Barry, I had no idea about how Perry's '66 ended but I guess he had a history of that. In 1974 he got off to a 15-1, 1.24 start and ended up at 21-13, 2.52.

For one season dominance by teammates it would be hard to top Newhouser and Trout in 1944:

Newhouser 29-9, 2.22

Trout 27-14, 212

Of course, it was the middle of the War so the competition was a bit watered down.
