Default Who needs (another) Comiskey? Really nice N172, however.

In my minsicule collection I have 3 Comiskeys. An N172 (standing, "Capt. St. Louis Browns"), Scrapps (real nice) and a 1914 Cracker Jack. I keep the Cracker Jack with my Black Sox cards and photos because, as is generally, though not universally accepted, without Comiskey, there probably wouldn't have been any Black Sox.

These three cards fell into my lap. It's as easy to avoid Comiskeys as it is Chases, which means damned hard. Even the Goodwin Round Album has a full-page portrait of him (looking very much like a choirboy). And, whatever SGC or PSA says, I see that Comiskey portrait offered by BMW in every other auction brochure I get. I have read and reread the sentence BMW wrote about the scracity of the card, and gramatically, it seems to me to mean it's scarce. Hogwash!

ON THE OTHER HAND, that's a very beautiful N172. A not-especially-desirable HOFer on a truly fine N172? At least $3000. Take the money and run, BMW!
