There was the Mark Rucker collection that was auctioned in November 1995 by Bill Mastro and Dan Knoll in their then auction concern "Best of Yesterday"...I think maybe Dave Bushing may have been part of it too...It was a heck of an offering...you can read a little about it in the link above in the 4th paragraph...
