I really don't know how items like this stein were marketed. My guess is that they were sold locally around the university as souvenirs or whatever.

I will try to get a photo or two up later. I am not very adept at using the camera, uploading, etc. Unlike most guys, I don't worry a great deal about displays, though I do have one central "shrine." Our house has memorabilia hanging and sitting all over the place; on top the piano, over the fireplace, on the desk, hanging on the TV room wall, etc. However, most of the good stuff is in a room which has never been visited by any non-family member. Since no other people see them, they are totally for me to see, fondle, etc. Further, because my retirement resources are a bit limited, the collection is constantly changing.
