What you need is a non polar solvent. Old carbon tet would work, if you can find some. Goop works, as does lighter fluid, but they both leave a slight petroleum residue and smell. Water mark fluid might work. If tape is there, put a few drops of the solvent on a Qtip, and touch it to the edges of the tape. Gently work the edges of the tape upward. The solvent will disolve the adhesive residue of the tape and it will gradually release. Patience, and small amounts of solvent. Don't plan on getting done in a few minutes.
I don't know if graders put a something on a label denoting that the card smells... the smell gradually goes away. And who can smell a card through a holder???
Again, NO WATER. Water works wonderfully on T206s, it will totally destroy a Goudey card.
