Default Very Poor Ruth Leaf...but real?

Billy, beyond as an indication of their knowledge of the material, feedback and return policy is useful to determine if you will have problems will the seller if there is a significant problem with the card. Everyone makes mistakes, but a good seller fixes a problem-- i.e. applogize and return your money promtply if there is an error. Even if the seller does not specialize in the material (sells antique French postcards or Buffy the Vampire Slayer memorabilia), but has an acceptable return/authenticity policy (inquire if it isn't specifically posted) and has strong feedback, it would seem that you are dealing with a fair seller. It's okay to contact the seller and get questions answered .... You might also wish to pay in way that protects you-- credit card, paypal can be of assistance.

Again, I think there is a difference in taking a chance on a $20 or $30 or even higher item (depending on your budget) than if you are about to place a $1,000 bid.
