Others 71 sets in the vg-ex to ex range recently sold in the $500-600 range. One Vg set sold for $600+ as a BO.....using best offer may be your best option for the highest price realized
Over the past few years, I have won via auction several 71 sets with less visual appeal than this one for under $400.
I agree, many card owners tend to over value/over grade their cards.
At $900, a VG 71 set would be a museum piece.
