BobI've often been asked why I spent money starting and trying to complete other sets when my E90-1 set was always one card (Joe J.) short. I guess I never got over the first time I was ever sniped on a card, an E90-1 Jackson several years ago. I thought I had it in the bag with a big cushion (this was before everybody was using snipe services) when I was crushed when a bid came in 5 seconds before the end and I lost it to a guy named Keith Olberman. Yup, that's him. It was a nice one vgish and I think I recall it went for around $1250. Have never been close again on any one I have bid on sice then. I guess I should have considered the 2 bullet hole Jackson card but at the time I thought a g/vg one would drop in my lap. Ine of my most bitter auction losses. (I still didn't know about snipe services until the Sunday afternoon Robert Utley sniped me on 9 of the nicest E98s you have ever seen. That was a killer. But I digress...)
The E90-1 is definitely an undervalued and underappreciated set...
