Is that an Ebbets Field Flannels cap? The Elmira Pioneers and the Evanville Bees are the two most prominent minor league teams I could come up with that would likely have an "E" on their cap. The black cap w orange piping reminds me of a c. 1940 Baltimore Orioles cap. Both Evanville and Elmira had teams at that time.
