Warren Harding died August 2, 1923.................wonder what is date of photo?
I checked the 1923 Yankee box scores. Ruth didn't hit a HR on the road against Washington. He did hit 3 HR's at Yankee Stadium vs. Washington. He hit HR #2 on 4-24-23; HR #15 on 7-2-23; HR #16 on 7-3-23. With the bunting shown in the photo I would assume the photo was taken on July 2nd or July 3rd (Independence Day Yankee homestand). If so, it was one month before Harding's death.
I did some more research. President Harding attended the Senators game on 4-24-1923 for the inaugural season at Yankee Stadium. The date of the photo is certainly April 24, 1923.....3 1/2 months before Harding's death.
