Just FYI, that "New Billy the Kid" photo you refer to is as much Billy the Kid as my high school senior picture. That photo will never stand the scrutiny of the public auction market and is just a ploy to try and draw attention to the owner and the National Geographic Channel. Photo is worth about $10 if described correctly "fuzzy picture of random dudes from the 1880's playing croquet".

I guess it's hard to positively identify somebody in an old grainy photo although we still try even here on Net54 (hey, maybe that's really Joe Jackson playing croquet!). We may never know who that really is until we get a positive ear match.
. Still, I enjoyed the TV special about it.
