40s or 50s makes sense to me and I get that feeling from the stamp on the back, the graphic design of it. Maybe trying out a camera on an old newspaper clipping? Very odd but still kind of neat.
There is a history of photographing larger premiums and putting them on postcards. Just not of this poor quality.
