Default My first grading experience...

I have had this card in the back of my closet for 3+ years and finally sent it in as my very first submission to any grading company. Guess it was a combonation of Post Office mistrust and nerves that kept me from doing it sooner, but I am glad I did. I bought this card in an off ebay transaction when I first started collecting vintage. This is actually the second vintage card I ever purchased. Knowing what I know now, mostly learned on this board, I might have not bought it. The gentleman said that he got it (and many other 19th century cards) going thru his wife's uncles house after his passing. Also the reason he did not grade it was the cost to do so. Those two sentences today would send me running the other way but my ignorance was bliss at that moment. Also, I never even talked to him by phone, the transaction was entirely over email. I endend up buying most of his N28's and they are in similar condition ( a few lesser) . He was trying to get me to purchase some other N cards that he said was much rarer. I was ignorant to anything but Allen and Ginter, only learned of them when Topps put out the 2006 A&G cards. Wonder what treasures I pass up, but I cant complain how it turned out. The gentleman that I bought these from was first rate in every way, can not thank thank him enough. He even sent the Old Judge checklist, below, as a thank you for buying the cards. Cant wait to send in the remainder of the cards now. Thanks for letting me share.
