Louis "Jud" Castro only played a short time in 1902, but is considered by some the first Latin player in MLB. I did not know this prior to the auction, My wife said I was a dumbass for not doing my homework, not exactly in those words but you get the idea. Had I known of this I would have I would have bid a bit more, however I beleive the winner would have just kept going, he contacted me earlier today and was quite pleased with his win, something he had searched for quite some time, at least I lost out to a good home. And yes I believe it is certainly a record for a "common" W600.

Do you think that these high grade W600's could be from the group that surfaced in the late 1980's, at a Kentucky show? I believe? They were said to be 400 unissued cards all in glassines, it figured the lesser known players would have been overproduced and underordered leaving a glut of extras.
