Of course, Hoffman's "Rainman" had it's poignant card scene...

Not so poignant was the early 80s "Silver Spoons" episode where John Houseman and Rick Schroeder were going to corner the Tommy Lasorda rookie card market (which seemed to all look like the backside of 1983 Topps if memory serves...) and spread rumors about his pending election to the Hall of Fame.
