Default 1948 Leaf vs. 1949 Leaf?

The brighter looking 1948's are due to the White cardboard that Leaf printed them on.
The 1949 set was printed on Gray cardboard.

Leaf printed their 1948 Boxing set on both White and Gray cardboard, and there is a
significant improvement in the quality of the cards printed on the White cardboard.
