Having been raised in a Roman Catholic household - and - having then lived in South Philly for a decade or so as a young adult, I truly know what you mean.
After the plastic covers are removed, it would be time to wash the china that nobody else is allowed to eat from.
Please don't take offense, Leon...just talking about shared experiences.
