Von Hayes hit 2 HRs in first (including a grand slam).

I was with my friend, who was a live and die Mets fan. In about the 5th inning he wanted to leave, he was so disgusted.

I said no way. First, it was going to be some sort of record setting run total, that I wanted to see. Secondly, I was on a beer per inning streak .......
