I disagree - I would rather see position players pitching over a tie.

Hogwash. They aren't trained to throw 90+ fastballs, curves, screwballs, etc, but that doesn't mean they can't toss BP (or a little faster) for crying out loud. And if they can't toss BP (or a little faster) w/o hurting something, they don't belong on the diamond.
