Default Sheet Music ? Library of Congress ??

Posted By: davidcycleback

It may be true that early ones tend to be plainer, but some 1860s-70s baseball music sheets have pictures on the front.

Sports music sheets would be a good area to collect. There's a wide variety-- 1869 Reds to Babe Ruth to Red Grange--, its relatively scarce and inexpensive. Due to the larger size of paper, it's less likely to be faked-- and I'm not aware of fakes anyway.

Even if you don't specialize, keep your eyes pealed for the music. I've seen baseball collections offered by the big auction houses.
