Default E Card Sizes

Posted By: JimB

Having examined E93s quite closely in this respect, I can tell you that unaltered copies definately vary in size. I have often wondered what accounts for this. It is hard to imagine that they were produced in small enough numbers that sheets would have been cut by individuals with a paper cutter, but I suppose that is possible. One argument against this is the regularity of "miscuts". For example, in the E93 set the Mathewson card is regularly seen off-centered left to right by a margin of about 80/20. If cards were cut by individuals with a paper cutter, it would be difficult to explain these sorts of repeated irregularities. Others may have more insights.
