Everything we talk about in cataloging numbers goes back to the ACC, by Burdick (let's save the SCB debate for sake of this thread). Burdick classified candy/gum cards, that were made past 1930'ish as "R" for "Recent" gum or candy cards.......Do yourself a favor and buy a copy of the ACC. It is to collecting pre-war what the alphabet is to the English language. It's where it starts...regards
