MEWheatI was in San Diego on business. As is my habit when I have free time, I was scouting antique shops and baseball related shops. I was not into collecting "vintage" yet. I ended up buying a number of things and in the process of negotiating, had him throw in one of the small cards I saw in the corner of his case. He must have been desperate to make a sale and agreed.
The card looked old and was a portrait of this reddish haired ball player. I had no clue what the card was or which player.....
It was my first T card - a Johnson Portrait. And yes, the throw in is worth more than everything else I bought.
