This is bugging me now. I recall seeing a very similar Bust in a Mastro Auction about 7-8 years ago. It was hollow, and had some damage to one of the bottom corners.

I want to say it was a babe Ruth Bust... same size, same structure as your Gehrig. I do remember it selling for well over $2,000.00, despite the compromised condition. I bet it was from the same "maker" as yours...
