About the comment about the Sox having nothing against the Cardinals : Two of our greatest players, Williams and Yaz, were denied rings due to the Cardinals. It may have been a long time ago, but Red Sox fans remember. I talked to a neighbor of mine Thursday morning who still got agitated about, and vividly rembered going to the series in Fenway in 1967.
