You probably meant the other Rob, but I'm a bleacher, too.
I use painter's tape to both hang mine and protect the spine. The spine would obviously bleach out otherwise. I have never masked off areas....I think you would get a noticeable line. I
soak my pennants and the bleach would probably leach even I masked off an area. I suppose it might work with a very light misting.
