Just an FYI to let you all know that a new section has been launched on
www.VintageBall.com devoted to the
World Tours and Tours of Japan from 1888 to 1934, with a sub-section on each.
The sections are illustrated with photos, postcards and other memorabilia from the tours, and include such players as Cap Anson, Ty Cobb, Jim Thorpe, Casey Stengel, Lou Gehrig, etc., etc., who participated in the tours.
Lots of postcards and photos -- particularly for the 1920 and 1922 Tours.
There are also full lists of players and rosters for each of the tours, some appearing for what I think is the first time.
A few pieces come from player estates -- including pieces from George Kelly and George Moriarty.
