MarkI am not an expert but I would like to clarify what people mean when they speak about a "lathe" bat. Presumably this wouldn't mean any bat produced on a lathe. Do you mean a bat that is used by a bat company as a model for making usable copies? A hasty look at Vince Malta's new book on L&S indicates that many players order 1, 2, or 3 different models in a given year. In 33, Lloyd Waner seems to have ordered bats based on 6 different models, thus using 6 different lathe bats. Do you have any particular player in mind?
