They should.

They should also be able to have the insurance company send you a letter indicating coverage.

The company I did industrial repairs for called it a certificate of insurance, and it indicated coverage for workmans comp, and product liability and probably some other stuff. All I ever had to do was call and let them know the fax # to send it to. (And it properly comes from the company, not the insured)

I can't recall ever being asked about customers equipment that was in for repair, but I know it was covered.

It can't hurt to have your own coverage.
