There was the famous Dmitri Young auction of high-grade rookies recently, and PSA had an article on Evan Mathis of the Philadelphia Eagles and his collection recently. I'm sure there are plenty of other players who are collectors too - they are interested in their sports and have the means for a nice collection, so it's not a stretch to think many would have a collection. Whether it's vintage T206's or more modern is another question, but I'm sure there are many collectors among the athletes.
