Default Cobb Auto strip card

Posted By: Jim T

I have no idea about the authenticity of the Cobb auto but would like to point out a couple of my observations:

-The use of dashes instead of slashes in the date does not necessarily mean anything. I alternate back and forth, especially if confined by space like on the back of a small card. On the other hand I have never seen another Cobb with dashes that I can recall.

-The different T's on the signed check are not necessarily from a different hand. The T I use when signing my last name looks like a backwards C. When writing a capitalized T as in the word Thousand, I will usually use a printed T. I am guessing Cobb had a similar flare for signing his own name.

Like I said, no idea on the authenticity, autos can be tough to determine.
