In some cases, there is no way to distinguish between M101-5 and M101-4 Ruth cards. For example, if you have a blank back, there is no way of telling. Blank backs are by far the most common backs for these two series and if you have ablank back Ruth, it could be from either set.

It is my understanding the only backs that are exclusive to M101-5 is the Successful Farming and Holmes to Homes backs. All other advertisements are from the M101-4 set or interchangeable between M101-4 and M101-5.
