When I was a kid I had a Yankee calender that said Dave Righetti was born on November 29th.
I thought that was great, as Righetti was a big star at the time.
Found out a couple years later the calender was wrong and he was actually born on November 28th.
As it happens, another great Yankee reliever came around who actually was born on my birthday, named Mariano Rivera.
Other notables were Minnie Minoso, Bill Freehan, Mike Easler and Howard Johnson.
There was also a 90's pitcher from the Dominican Republic named Pedro Martinez................not the one you're thinking of though.
