To me that's probably the holy grail of programs. Generally you can't go wrong with something like that - if you paid too much, it will catch up soon enough.
I wanted the live-action 1890's Baltimore cabinet, and was prepared to bid...at 7:02, which was 2 minutes late. I saw '1:58 remaining' and thought I was safe for that amount of time. A message that gives the amount of time for initial bids would be far more effective, but that's not picking on this particular auction house - this is the way almost all of them handle it.
