Depends on the size and placement. Also I think they take in the reason for the damage and how the rest of the card looks.

Grades can be anywhere between a 10-40.

That being said an SGC 10 with damage like that will sell for a huge price premium over what a "normal" 10 will.

I would call the Hornsby the 3rd key with the Ruth and Jackson being bigger even though it is the Hornsby RC :-D
