To paraphrase (roughly) Judge Landis: "Regardless of the outcome of juries or the incompetence of Major League Baseball, no player that throws a ball game, no player that entertains proposals or promises to throw a game, no player that sits in a conference with a bunch of crooked players where the ways and means of throwing games are discussed and
no player who habitually uses illegal performance-enhancing drugs, and does not promptly tell his club about it
(or quit his cheating habit), will ever have his card mounted in normal fashion in any album but shall have it turned upside down." (And that goes for Judge Landis' cards, too.)
