No pic, but I once had a 1930s Portland Beavers pro model hat that belonged to Babe Herman. Herman played in the PCL, but not for the Beavers. A guess is he exchanged hats with an opponent or something like that. There was no auction claim that it was game used, just a genuine PCL hat. It came from his estate auction and had a provenance letter from his daughters and letter from MEARS.

Herman had a lot of interesting collectibles from his playing days, including signed snapshot photos of his teammates (fair assumption he also shot the photots), lots of vintage team signed balls from the PCL and other minor league teams, and a few game used items of teammates, including game used Reds hat. It appeared he was a bit of a collector himself.
