I didn't "know" it until I read his answer. It's one of those things that's rattling around in there but wouldn't have come out without his answer.
Edited to add - Pettitte is only 37! He has a distant chance, but he'd have to stick around for 3 more seasons. (And, of course, win a game in the 2012, or later, World Series. I don't think he wants to pitch that long.)
