As far as the stampings go, tough to tell. Not sure what "Filed before 1919" means on it's reverse. But it looks to have "been around the block" a few times after 1919 based on the later stampings.
Someone is going to win a great photo. Whether it's a true Type 1 remains to be seen. I'd rather have your painting  |
You're spot-on Gerry. I just got off the phone with Henry who is there. The Matty photo is certainly a true TYPE I. Lots of wear & tear but good luck finding another
