I have never seen an issue that PSA screws up more the cracker jacks. I swear they have a dead guy grading them. I just pulled a PSA 1 and sent it to SGC it got a 30. I knew the 1 grade was off. I have found they over grade or undergrade CJ a great deal. As such I would never buy a PSA or especially a GAI graded CJ unless I saw very good pictures.
That all being said I would agree that because of the bad scans it is hard to judge. Cracker Jacks do tend to hide creasing well if it doesn't break color. Many times a crease will only show on the back.
