I think that all people that buy autographs are under a caveat empter (I believe that is right). If you did not get it in person How do you really if it is authentic? It gets really old listening to buyers of autographs complain about the authenticity.

AS a buyer of an autograph you are taking much more risk than say buying a sports card and the needs to be responsible for his own actions in these matters.

Yes, It would be nice to think the seller and authenticator are honest but it comes sown to the bottom line, if YOU did not get it in person, how do you now it's real and to me that is part of the risk of buying autographs.
