Default 1861 Home Run Quick Step Color Sheet Music for Sale

The 1861 Home Run Quick Step is the second earliest color illustration of baseball in America. This very rare sheet music was dedicated to the Mercantile Base Ball Club of Philadelphia. Only a handful of copies have survived, and this one is easily equal to the finest known. It was removed from a bound volume of sheet music several years ago, and the colors are as bright and intense as the day it was issued. There is a minor print imperfection at the bottom by the name "Zebley"; it is not a stain but a small area of excess ink. The left edge shows remnants of having been bound in an album. A pristine copy of an early and historic baseball sheet music. It is archivally matted and framed with an acid free mat. Please note that due to its size it took two passes to scan, which explains the irregularity at the bottom.

Asking $7500. Will consider trade offers. Please email Barry Sloate at bsloate@att.net. Thank you.
