Default 1916 World Series Program - Scored with Ruth Pitching***SOLD***

Posted By: Pat Nester

1916 World Series Program at Boston. This program is neatly scored for Game 2. In Game 2 Babe Ruth was on the mound for the Red Sox. After giving up a run in the first inning, Ruth went on to pitch 13 shutout innings until the Red Sox won the game in the 14th inning. Those 13 innings would be the start of his World Series scoreless innings streak which continued to 29 innings with his participation in the 1918 world series. That record stood until Whitey Ford broke it in the early 1960s.

The program is neatly scored with Ruth pitching. Overall I would grade the program in near-ex condition. It has a vertical center crease from a pocket fold. Crease is more visible on back then on front. It does have some minor splitting on the spine. About 1 inch at the top and 2 inches at the bottom. On the back cover is a very small piece missing from the corner as can be seen in scan. Impacts cover only and does impact any writing or graphics. No loose pages or other chipping. Both scoring sections are neatly scored. Still a very handable, presentable and collectable program. Please email for additional questions or additional scans. Price - SOLD .
