Rob D.Obviously every lot doesn't require research. But when Steve posts "we are researching this and have heard information either way on it," that leads me to believe there were questions before its authenticity was raised in this thread.
So though I suppose it's commendable that the lot was pulled after it was "outed" publicly, if the auction house was in the midst of researching the item, is it too much to ask for them to be sure before offering the item for sale?
Apparently, yes, it is too much to expect.
